The MC111CS is a media converter designed to convert 100BASE-FX fiber cable to 100Base-TX copper cable or vice versa. The MC111CS incorporates WDM technology whereby only a single fiber cable is required to transmit and receive data, which saves half the cost on cables. The MC111CS is designed following the IEEE 802.3u 10 / 100Base-TX and 100Base-FX standards and uses a single-mode fiber cable with a SC-type connector. The MC111CS supports the specification of long-wave laser (LX) at the maximum transmission speed. It operates at 1550 nm in the sending of data and at 1310 nm at reception. Thus, the device operating in conjunction with the MC111CS must operate at 1310 nm at data sending and 1550 nm at the reception.
